A Michigan school district plans to use a software program to allow families to upload money for school meals to an account, which students can draw from while at school. The school board approved $13,037 for the purchase of the Magic Meal Corp. software program this week. The program, which also allows families to track purchases online, sets limits on how much a student can spend on meals each day. The initial cost includes training for school nutrition professionals.
