Wound care experts discuss managing patients' pain

When devising a pain management program in the course of wound care, the clinician must determine whether an underlying condition is the source, measure the severity and determine whether previous strategies have worked, certified wound specialists say. The World Health Organization's analgesic ladder for cancer pain is applicable for managing wound pain, Dr. Kazu Suzuki says.
