Archaeologists unearth temple complex near Jerusalem

Archaeologists from Tel Aviv University unearthed the ruins of a temple complex dating to 1100 B.C. at Tel Beth-Shemesh near Jerusalem. Archaeologists believe that the temple was destroyed and desecrated when the Philistines invaded. The researchers said goblets discovered at the site along with stones arranged to direct liquids were clues that the structure was used as a place of worship.
