Costs affect how heart disease is treated, doctors say

More cardiologists are considering the cost of treatment, in terms of drug prices, reimbursement and health reform, when deciding how to deliver patient care, according to presentations at the American Heart Association annual meeting. Dr. Mark Hlatky of Stanford University said rising health care costs "make it very pertinent for us to assess value."
