Insole plus app provides portable gait analysis

A professor at the University of Utah is developing a gel insole containing sensors that works with a smartphone application to give users feedback on how they walk. Designed for people with an artificial leg, a hip replacement or a broken leg, Stacy Bamberg's Rapid Rehab system allows users and their therapists to monitor gait outside of the laboratory.
