Starbucks to make biggest-ever acquisition with Teavana purchase

Starbucks will acquire specialty tea retailer Teavana for $620 million, its biggest acquisition to date and a signal the coffee giant expects tea to be its next big growth area. Starbucks will pay $15.50 per share for the publicly traded Teavana, more than six times what it paid to acquire baked-goods company Bay Bread earlier this year.
