Food donations help owners keep pets

As pet owners face foreclosure and other financial problems, they are often forced to give up their pets. Though no national network coordinates assistance for pets, groups such as the Tree House Humane Society in Chicago and the Northland Pet Food Pantry in Kansas City, Mo., provide pet food to owners so they can keep their animals.
