Industry groups object to drilling fee in W.Va. draft legislation:

A West Virginia legislative committee has drafted regulations for Marcellus Shale natural gas drilling. Two industry groups criticized the proposed fee of $5,000 to $10,000 per well, saying it could drive investment away from West Virginia, which holds an estimated 22% of recoverable Marcellus gas.
