Lipid could be effective against influenza as an antiviral

Researchers at National Jewish Health say the lipid POPG, or palmitoyl-oleoyl-phosphatidylglycerol, can limit the spread of the flu. The findings, published online in the American journal of Respiratory Cell and Molecular Biology and discussed in a video, suggest the lipid may have broad impact as an antiviral.
