Priority Dispatch protocol helps county improve 9-1-1 service

The Florence County Central Dispatch Center in South Carolina is just one of two in the state using Priority Dispatch, a nationwide protocol format that takes the guesswork out of dispatching to make the system more efficient. Florence County was named the 9-1-1 Communications Center of the Year for 2011 by NENA and the South Carolina chapters of the Association of Public Safety Communications Officers.
