Teacher: Schools should balance old technology with new

Teacher Patrick Ledesma says iPad tablets have limitations -- particularly in higher-level schoolwork -- and should not replace paper textbooks. He writes that student research conducted at a desk filled with books is still preferable to a tablet. "As much as I like my powerful iPad in my personal life, as an educator, I value our traditional old technologies of books, paper, pens and yellow highlighters," Ledesma writes.
