USDA raises worldwide oilseed production forecast for 2011-12

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's monthly estimate of major agriculture commodities pegs global oilseed production for the 2011-12 year up slightly from the previous month's estimates. The revised estimate is based on gains in Brazil, Paraguay and Mexico. The USDA revised U.S. soybean production downward by 14 million bushels.
