Could employee weight-loss programs jeopardize health?

Companies such as Sprint Nextel have seen success using fitness challenges to motivate employees to lose weight, but researchers question if these types of programs could jeopardize health by increasing workplace pressures and stigma about weight. Yale University's Rebecca Puhl said studies show if people feel shamed or stigmatized about their weight, they tend to resort to unhealthy behaviors that reinforce obesity, such as binge eating.
