CSR alone won't boost banks' reputations, says Goldman alum

Token CSR initiatives won't be enough to turn the financial sector's reputation around, says Lucas van Praag, who ran global corporate communications at Goldman Sachs for more than a decade. It will take a real culture change, not just consumer-facing stunts, to win over the public, he explains. "CSR is important, but [banks] shouldn't rely on it to repair reputation," he says.
