Iowa officials grapple with snack foods in schools

The Des Moines school board is considering banning or curtailing the sale of soda and unhealthy snack foods in area schools. "We have to balance the health needs of students with, frankly, the revenue these vending machines bring in," one board member said. "But I think the health needs of students have to come first."
