Scientists discover that heart can repair itself

U.K. scientists found an essential protein in the human heart, thymosin beta 4, is responsible for the migration of cell-repairing progenitor cells during heart trauma. Scientists expect this new discovery to have major implications, particularly in developing more effective treatments for the repair of damaged hearts.
