Propane is a lifeline for cash-strapped gas juniors

Smaller natural gas companies can't always afford to join the race to tap unconventional shale gas deposits, and they're being affected by the slump in prices. Still, it's possible to make money by focusing on propane-rich conventional gas deposits and using new technologies to extract natural gas liquids more efficiently, according to ProsPex CEO John Rossall. "We're applying new technology in old reservoirs that have been around for decades," Rossall says.
