CBOT corn retreats; NYMEX oil, ethanol futures post gains

Corn for December delivery settled at $6.4275 per bushel on Wednesday, down 2.75 cents, on the Chicago Board of Trade. December light sweet crude rose by $3.22, the contract's biggest gain since May 31, to close at $102.59 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. December denatured ethanol ended at $2.695 per gallon, up 1.5 cents, on the CBOT.
