Facebook is ready for more apps from media partnerships

Facebook is preparing to announce another round of media partnerships in the coming year, building on the network's experience with social applications in cooperation with prominent media such as The Guardian, Netflix and The Washington Post. Andy Mitchell, Facebook's manager in charge of strategic media partnerships, said news-feed apps have proved popular and are likely to remain valued because "people are only going to authorize publishers that they're comfortable with."
