Vaughan to leave CEO post at NAIC earlier than planned

Therese Vaughan, CEO of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, says she will leave the post at the end of this month. Vaughan said a few months ago that she planned to step down in early 2013. "Since the August announcement, however, it has become clear that an extended phase-out is unnecessary, and the organization is well-positioned to carry our progress forward," Vaughan said in a statement.
