Children playing with bat receive rabies prophylaxis

A child brought a surprise to his friend's birthday party: a live bat in a bag. The children played with the animal, a common rabies carrier, and one boy was bitten. Since the bat escaped and hasn't been found, health officials are urging the parents of all the exposed children to get the rabies post-exposure vaccine series.
