Cybersecurity specialists will find their talents are worth more next year because of malware, more sophisticated hackers and the proliferation of cloud computing, according to a salary survey. Staffing firm Robert Half Technology predicts salaries for IT security experts will increase 4.5% next year, outpacing overall IT pay increases, which are forecast to average 3%. The company also expects to see more IT security jobs opening up as enterprises look to add staff.
