Group's hospital standards aim to lessen HAIs

Canadian nonprofit group CSA Standards has developed new benchmarks for the construction of hospitals in Canada. Recommendations include a shift to single-bed rooms, which experts say help minimize cases of hospital-acquired infections. The standards were developed with input from people who work in hospitals, including nurses and other health care professionals.
