Prevent infectious disease outbreaks in livestock

The National Center for Foreign Animal Disease Defense's beef task force compiled a list of recommendations to minimize infectious diseases in cattle including limiting the number of people in contact with the animals, following hygiene rules on the farm, and implementing an appropriate vaccination schedule for the animals. It's also important to properly dispose of the bodies of animals that may die on the farm.
