Shell Oil's Gulf well sets deepwater-production record

One of Shell Oil's wells in the Gulf of Mexico has set a world record for deepwater oil production. The well, which is operating through Shell's Perdido platform in the Gulf, is producing 9,627 feet below the surface. Shell didn't state the production figures from the well.
