Wireless challenges stand in way of 9-1-1 texting

Several wireless challenges need to be solved before 9-1-1 texting becomes reality, including the lag time between when a text message is sent and when it is received by dispatchers. A dispatch center's ability to respond to a text and receive additional information is another issue, as is the ability to use the text message to locate the text sender and call that person.
