Travel conference focuses on need for change in the online space

The 2012 PhoCusWright Conference in Phoenix last week highlighted concerns that the growth of online travel bookings may taper off in the near future. This could force online travel firms to implement drastic strategy shifts to continue expanding their business. "The travel industry has been jolted by new threats, and there is an increasing call for strategic realignment. Staying the course or tweaking is not sufficient," said Philip Wolf, PhoCusWright's founder and chairman.
