The Wii U console made its U.S. retail debut Sunday, with hundreds lined up at the flagship Nintendo World store in New York City's Rockefeller Center. The Nintendo TVii service, offering content from Amazon Instant Video, Netflix and YouTube, won't be available until an unspecified date in December, according to the company. The Wii U features a tablet-like controller that offers a separate screen for playing games. "We wanted to become independent from the TV," said Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto.
