Netherlands may offer insurance incentive to kidney donors

The Netherlands may consider offering free health insurance for life to people who donate kidneys for transplants in an effort to ease the chronic shortage of organ donors in the country. The Dutch Health Council devised the plan and says the insurance option would provide an incentive for potential donors. A survey revealed 15% of the public would donate a kidney if they received compensation.
