CFPB and FTC target confusing mortgage ads

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission are investigating 19 financial companies for mortgage advertisements that could mislead consumers, officials say. The CFPB and the FTC, which reviewed about 800 ads, sent warning letters to an additional 32 financial companies.
