Societies including SCAI release troponin consensus statement

A new consensus statement from seven societies including SCAI evaluates recent findings relative to troponin testing and aims to provide guidance to clinicians on ordering tests and evaluating their results. "We need to be thinking about why we are ordering the troponin test before we order it," said Dr. L. Kristin Newby, a Duke University Medical Center professor who served as co-chair of the writing committee. "We hope this document provides a road map to help clinicians be more deliberate when ordering these tests and interpreting the results."
