Penn National's partner unveils casino plans for Springfield, Mass.

Peter Picknelly, Penn National Gaming's partner in developing a proposed casino in Springfield, Mass., has disclosed details of the resort casino envisioned for the city's North End. The site for the planned 300,000-square-foot gaming facility includes the station of Picknelly's Peter Pan Bus Lines, a piece of riverfront property and a building owned by a newspaper company. "It is perfect for our community," Picknelly said. "It's a mix of old Hollywood and new Hollywood; it's vibrant, it's exciting and I think it's the exact product Springfield needs and would flourish here."
