ARM collaborates with TSMC on progressing to 20nm

ARM Holdings is working closely with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. on fabricating its Cortex-A15 processor design with 20-nanometer linewidths, taping out a test chip with those dimensions, according to this blog post. "The 20nm tape-out is a test vehicle," says Lance Howarth, ARM's executive vice president of marketing. "The expectation is that we're a year away from 20nm as a production technology."
