Documentary aims to provide insight on Asperger's syndrome

Jennifer Allen, who left a career in broadcasting after her son, Sam, was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome, has drawn on her professional expertise to create a documentary to help other families who have children with the disorder. The film, "Coping to Excelling: Solutions for School-Aged Children Diagnosed with High-Functioning Autism or Asperger's Syndrome," suggests that many of the world's most innovative thinkers have exhibited some of the traits of Asperger's and offers insight into social development and dealing with bullying, among other topics.
