EPA postpones refinery GHG standards; MACT rules are on track

The Environmental Protection Agency will not release proposed greenhouse-gas standards for oil refineries before its December deadline. "EPA expects to need more time to complete work on greenhouse gas pollution standards for oil refineries, and is working with the litigants to develop a new schedule to replace the current date of mid-December for a rule proposal," according to an EPA statement. The maximum achievable control technology emissions rule is "still on" for the Dec. 16 deadline, an EPA spokeswoman said Monday.
