More docs use Epocrates apps

More than half the doctors in the U.S. use Epocrates' mobile drug reference tools, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing. About 340,000 U.S. doctors were in Epocrates' user base at the end of September, due in part to more doctors using smartphones, the company said. However, the number of users subscribing to paid applications declined 2 percentage points since Sept. 30, 2010.
