Digital services make a small dent in premium TV, report says

Premium networks carried by multichannel video services have lost few subscribers because of the popularity of online-video services such as Netflix, Hulu and Amazon, according to a report from Futuresource Consulting, which predicts that less than 5% of U.S. subscribers would drop their services because of the subscription video-on-demand services. The firm found that 86% of households pay for a monthly service, and that premium networks' revenues grew 4.3% in 2011.
