Retailers take different tacks for Black Friday

Some retailers including Foot Locker and Target aim to drive higher-margin Black Friday sales with new products and exclusive merchandise, while others from Crocs to Wal-Mart will depend on bargain-basement prices to lure budget-conscious consumers. "The Target-Neiman Marcus mashup is going to bring excitement to Target," analyst Deborah Weinswig said. "Everyone wants something new this year, but doesn't want to spend a fortune."
