Fred Olsen Renewables scraps Forth project, heads for dry land

Offshore wind farms have lost their luster for Fred Olsen Renewables, as the renewable-energy developer is dropping the Forth Array project it had planned for the Scottish coast and is refocusing on land-based wind generation. Company officials said they believe offshore wind still has strong potential, but that Fred Olsen's structure and experience make it more suited to onshore projects.
