McCain: Set up European missile shield, with or without Russia

The U.S. and NATO allies should move full-speed ahead in developing and deploying a missile shield to protect Europe -- regardless of whether Russia is on board with the plan, said Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz. Russian President Dmitry Medvedev pledged to support the alliance in building a missile defense system for Europe, but only if Moscow is an "absolutely equal" partner.
