Chinese trade officials pledge to relax rules on clean technology

Chinese trade officials promised to loosen rules on foreign companies seeking entry in China's clean-technology market, U.S. Commerce Secretary John Bryson said. Their pledge covers clean energy, advanced-equipment manufacturing, advanced materials and other technologies, Bryson said after a two-day meeting of the U.S.-Chinese Joint Committee on Commerce and Trade. "They intend to provide a fair and level playing field in those industries," said Bryson.
