More consumers pay for video content as services proliferate

Consumers in four countries will spend $7 billion accessing fee-based online video by 2015, according to data from Futuresource Consulting that found a 20% increase in transactional video consumption this year. The surge in spending in the U.S., U.K., France and Germany is being driven by the expansion of subscription video services, particularly Netflix, and the proliferation of tablets and smartphones.
