NCQA unveils guidelines for ACO accreditation program

The National Committee for Quality Assurance has issued a set of standards that will support its program to certify accountable care organizations. The guidelines mandate that providers, hospitals and other health care entities seeking ACO accreditation exhibit capabilities in seven areas, including program operations, access and availability, and care management.
