New Hampshire considers mandating sick leave

The New Hampshire House Labor, Industrial and Rehabilitative Services Committee will vote today on a proposed mandate for private employers with 15 or more workers to provide paid sick leave. The law would apply to companies that do not already provide other forms of paid time off. A dozen other states have considered similar legislation this year, and the federal government is doing so, spurred in particular by a desire to keep workers from spreading the flu this season.
