HRSA to channel more funding toward community health centers

The Health Resources and Services Administration will issue additional grants of $80 million under the American Relief and Recovery Act to beef up Health Center-Controlled Networks, which are made up of small health facilities that treat underserved populations. The HHS said the new funds will complement the $27.8 million in grants it announced in September to help HRSA-backed centers buy EHR solutions and other health IT systems.
