Pressures mount on Europe's CMBS transactions, Fitch says

Fitch Ratings warned that pressures are increasing on transactions in commercial mortgage-backed securities in Europe because of the property market's slump and an escalating need for borrowers to repay their loans. "The sheer volume of commercial mortgages maturing in the next five years across mainland Europe will be a major test for pan-European CMBS credit quality," Fitch said.
