College offers online training for health information technologists

One Texas college is offering an online class that trains people to become health information technologists. It trains students how to organize and maintain general health information and how to perform background checks on physician credentials. Participants also can receive a coding certificate to code emergency room, transplant, inpatient and outpatient charts.
