The ACUITY-PCI risk score can improve risk assessment in cases of non-ST-segment elevation acute coronary syndrome where patients are undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention, according to Columbia University research. Meanwhile, an additional tool derived from the ACUITY and HORIZONS-AMI trials assesses risk of stent thrombosis in a broader pool of PCI patients.
