U.K. retailer Argos taps Shazam audio tech for mobile in TV campaign

Retailer Argos will use Shazam's audio-recognition application to pick up on audio from TV ads and activate additional information on mobile devices. The U.K. campaign will be the first by a retailer in Europe, Argos says, although brands such as Volvo, Cadbury and Microsoft have previously used Shazam.
