USPSTF recommends hep C screening for baby boomers

The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force on Monday has advised primary care providers to recommend hepatitis C screening for adults born between 1945 and 1965, including those with a history of IV drug use and those who had blood transfusions prior to 1992. The draft recommendations were an update to the group's 2004 statement and urge screening for all high-risk adults.
